How vDPO protects your data

You hold your clients’ confidential information in vDPO. This is how it is protected.

Real clients are encrypted

Each real client has its own encryption key. Its sensitive content, such as control notes, Not applicable reasons, the company registration number, and the records in its gap analyses, inventory and registers, is encrypted before it is stored. Practice clients hold fictional data and are not encrypted.

Backups are encrypted with your password

A backup of a real client is a ZIP file encrypted with a password you choose. vDPO does not keep the password, so nobody, including vDPO, can open the backup without it.

Tools that stay on your device

• vDPO Proof: files are fingerprinted in your browser. The files themselves never leave your device.
• vDPO Auditor and vDPO Advisor: they run inside your own AI assistant and do not send your code or documents to vDPO.

No tracking

vDPO does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts, maps and other files are served from vdpo.org itself.

Signing in

Repeated failed sign-ins are slowed down and then locked for a while, to stop password guessing. Use a strong, unique password.
